Mobile Apps
EquiDuty is available as an app for both iPhone and Android phones. The app is built for everyday use at the stable — you should be able to check off a shift, check a horse’s feeding schedule, or send a note even with your gloves on.
Download the App
- iOS: Search for “EquiDuty” in the App Store, or visit equiduty.se and tap the App Store button. Requires iOS 16 or later.
- Android: Search for “EquiDuty” in Google Play, or visit equiduty.se and tap the Google Play button. Requires Android 9 or later.
The app is free to download — your subscription determines which features are available.
Signing In
- Open the app
- Enter the same email address and password you use on the web
- Select your stable if you’re connected to multiple
You can enable Face ID (iOS) or fingerprint (Android) for faster sign-in under Profile → Security → Biometric Login.
Navigation
The app uses a bottom navigation bar with five tabs:
- Home — Today’s schedule, activities, and notifications
- Schedule — Weekly overview and upcoming shifts
- Horses — Horse profiles, health, and feeding plans
- Facilities — Booking calendar and availability
- Profile — Account settings, notifications, and language

Differences Compared to the Web
The app covers all daily use. A few admin features are web-only:

Push Notifications
The app sends push notifications for important events. Control what you want to be notified about under Profile → Notifications:
- New shift assignment
- Shift reminder (default: 1 hour before)
- New activity assigned to you
- Message from stable owner
- Vaccination due date (15 days in advance)
Notifications work even when the app is closed, but require permission in your phone’s settings.
Offline Behavior
The app caches schedule and horse data locally. If you lose connectivity, you can:
- View your schedule for the past 7 days
- Read horse profiles and health records
- Write notes (they sync automatically when connectivity returns)
New bookings and changes require an internet connection.
Updates
The app updates automatically through the App Store or Google Play. Major updates are announced via email. You can check your version under Profile → About.
Tips and Shortcuts
- Home screen widget — Add the EquiDuty widget to see today’s shifts directly from your home screen (supported on iOS 17+ and Android 12+)
- Swipe to complete — In the schedule view, swipe a shift to the right to quickly mark it as done
- Long-press a shift — To quickly add a note without opening the full view
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I switch stables in the app?
Yes. If you’re connected to multiple stables, switch under Profile → Switch Stable. You can only be active in one stable at a time in the app.
Does the app work without internet?
Partially — see the offline behavior section above. Basic reading works, but changes aren’t saved until you have connectivity.
Is the app free?
The app is free to download. Features are controlled by the stable owner’s subscription plan — you don’t need your own subscription as a team member.
