Getting Started with EquiDuty

Welcome to EquiDuty – the platform that makes it easy to distribute stable work fairly and efficiently. This guide walks you through the first steps: from creating your account to having a fully configured stable ready for use.

Creating an Account

Start by visiting app.equiduty.se in your browser. Click the Create account button on the home page.

You’ll be presented with a registration form where you enter:

  • Your name – Displayed to other stable members
  • Email address – Used for login and notifications
  • Password – At least 8 characters recommended

After submitting the form, a confirmation email is sent to your address. Open the email and click the Confirm email link to activate your account. If the email doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

Logging In

Once your account is activated, you can log in via the login page. You can also sign in with your Google account if that’s more convenient – click Continue with Google.

Creating an Organization

An organization in EquiDuty is the top-level entity that groups your stable and members together. Think of it as your business or association.

The first time you log in, EquiDuty automatically guides you through creating an organization. Fill in:

  • Organization name – For example “Meadowbrook Riding Club” or “Smith’s Equestrian Center”
  • Country – Used for currency and time zone settings
  • Currency – Select the currency used for any payments

Click Create organization to continue. You automatically become the organization owner with full administrative rights.

Adding Your Stable

Within an organization you can have one or more stables. During initial setup you add your first stable:

  1. Enter a stable name (e.g. “Barn A” or “Meadowbrook Main Barn”)
  2. Add an address if you want (optional, but useful if you manage multiple facilities)
  3. Enter the approximate capacity – how many horses the stable’s stalls can accommodate

Click Save stable to create it. You can always edit this information later in Settings.

Dashboard Overview

When you log in you land on the dashboard – your starting point for all daily management. The dashboard is divided into several sections:

Routines and Tasks

This shows today’s assigned routines and tasks. Dots and color codes indicate status:

  • Green – The task has been completed
  • Yellow – The task is scheduled but not yet done
  • Red – The task is overdue

Horses

A quick overview of your registered horses. Click a horse to view its profile with photos, feeding plan, and routines.

Schedule

A weekly or monthly view of scheduled routines and who is responsible for what. Filter by stable member or horse group.

Reports

Statistics and summaries: how much time has been spent on different routines, fairness points per person, and feeding overview.

The Sidebar Menu

The left sidebar is your primary navigation hub. It contains:

  • Home/Dashboard – Today’s overview
  • Horses – Manage horse profiles
  • Routines – Templates and schedules
  • Feeding – Feeding plans and logging (requires Pro plan)
  • Members – Invite and manage stable members
  • Reports – Statistics and follow-up
  • Settings – Organization and stable settings

Mobile Navigation

On mobile devices the sidebar is replaced by a hamburger icon in the top left. Tap it to open the navigation menu. All pages are fully responsive and work just as well on phone as on desktop.
